If you have a baby then you know how important it is to own a baby swing. There are tons of different types of baby swings out there and you just need to find one that your baby likes. If that means buying one and trying it out and returning it to the store if your baby doesn’t like it, then do it. You’ll be happy you did even though it is a pain in the neck to take a baby swing back to the store. When you do find the right baby swing for your baby, you will have a place to put your baby to help soothe him or her to sleep. It is also just another form of entertainment and stimulation for your child. Babies are constantly growing and developing and they need to experience different things in order to fully mature. So although a baby swing may seem like a pointless piece of equipment for a baby, believe me, it is worth it.

My baby loves his baby swing. When we first got home from the hospital, we did not have a baby swing. We had put it on our baby registry with Babies R Us, but none of our family or friends bought it for us. We just figured that we did not really need a swing, so we never got one. But after our son was home for a few weeks we realized that we did need a baby swing. Luckily my mom was still visiting with us and helping, and she offered to drive over to Babies R Us and pick us up a baby swing. She and my dad drove over to the store and walked around. They finally got to the baby swing aisle and walked down the aisle looking at all the different brands of baby swings. At the end of the aisle was an awesome baby swing by Graco that had a clearance sticker on it. It had been a floor model and the store was selling it at a major discount because they wanted to get rid of it to make room for the newer model of the swing which would be arriving at the store soon.

My parents quickly bought the swing and brought it home. They got such a good deal on it! When they got it home we set it up in the family room since we were spending so much time in that room of the house. It has an oval base which attaches to a side tower. The tower then has a base at the top on which you attach the soft fluffy nest where the baby lays. This particular model of baby swing also gave us the ability to remove the nest out and instead insert our baby car seat since it was also a Graco model. So if we came home from being out with the baby and he was sleeping in the car seat, we could easily attach it to the swing and keep him asleep with the rocking motion until he was ready to wake up.

This model of baby swing has some cool features. It has a vibration setting on the nest which you could use to help your baby relax. It also has a nice safety bar which holds the baby in place. The canopy over top has a cute teddy bear for baby to watch. Also, it has four sound buttons one of them being an outlet for your ipod so you could make a mix for your baby! We love our swing and our baby did too. Now his little sister gets to enjoy it!
